It’s time for digital curation!

17 Nov

After we enter the Web 2.0, the internet is developing at an amazing speed. The Internet itself has already turned into a mature tool of social media. So when considering about the future, the first word that I come up with is “curation”.(It’s a new word that I learn from my class)

There’re many tools that can be used for the digital curation.

For example, pearltrees, is a tool  to organize, discover and share everything you like on the web. It aims at content curation and mapping service.  It’s not difficult to use. For the fresh user, you have to install your Pearltrees addon to pearl the web pages you like while browsing. In Pearltrees, each pearl holds a web page. Click it to open it, drag and drop it to move it… or put it in the trash to delete it. Every one can create his pearltree and share with others. To know more, you can also see the introduction here.

Also, plug-ins like scoop.it, storify, paper.li are also useful for integrity. It’s not only good for the user to record what he has done on the internet, but also good for your community. Your friends can easily know your interests and what you’re focus on recently.

Community management becomes a more and more important role in the internet. Because the internet is a free plat-form that every one can be involved in. The access is available for every one.

So are you ready????!!

It’s time for embrace the trend of curation!
